If you didn’t already know, next week (October 7th-13th) is the inaugural Birmingham Tech Week, and we can’t wait! The week includes lots of great events run by local and national businesses, as well as the opportunity to network with and meet others who are active in the Birmingham tech scene. Here’s why we are so excited:

The potential for collaboration

Birmingham Tech Week was actually founded due to the lack of collaboration within the Birmingham Tech Scene, as a way for like-minded people to meet and get to know each other. We can’t wait to see people with different experiences and skills come together and complement each other. There are some true innovators in the West Midlands with the potential to create something really exciting, especially when brought together.

We are excited to see what amazing tech ideas come out of the week.

The events

There’s an event for everyone, and you can find more information about them here. We have a wide variety of events run by really interesting people from all areas of the tech world. What’s more, you can attend as many or as few as you would like!

We’ve got some fantastic speakers lined up and we can’t wait to hear what they have to say.

The impact

As we’ve mentioned, this is the first ever Birmingham Tech Week, which makes it all the more exciting! The week has the potential to create great new networks between tech companies in the West Midlands’, and is also the perfect platform for us to show off how great the regions’ tech scene really is.

Birmingham Tech Week aims to celebrate the growth, diversity and innovation that drives Birmingham, whilst promoting collaboration within the city’s tech scene. Find out more about why we created this.
