We are on a mission to make Birmingham Tech Week 2026 a Tech Festival for All. Hosting a Fringe Event is a fantastic way to showcase your organisation, connect with Birmingham Tech Week audiences, build new relationships and contribute to the region’s thriving technology ecosystem.
How to Host A Birmingham Tech Week Fringe Event
Fringe Events are independently organised events that take place during Birmingham Tech Week and form part of the official Fringe programme. They provide an opportunity to showcase your organisation, bring your community together, and contribute to the region’s largest technology festival.
Step 1 - Submit your application
Complete the Fringe Event submission form via the Birmingham Tech Week website. Please ensure you provide as much information as possible, including your proposed event title, description, venue, audience and organiser details.
Step 2 - Application review
Our Head of Events will review your application to ensure it aligns with Birmingham Tech Week. You’ll receive a decision by email within seven working days confirming whether your event has been approved.
Step 3 - Sign the Fringe Event Agreement

Step 4 - Confirm your event details
To publish your event on the Birmingham Tech Week website, we’ll need:
- Event date
- Event time
- Venue
- Event description
- Your registration or ticketing link
Once received, your event will be added to the official Fringe Event programme.
Organiser responsibilities
As the event organiser, you are responsible for:
- Securing your venue
- Managing registrations and ticketing
- Delivering the event
- Ensuring appropriate health, safety and accessibility arrangements
Birmingham Tech Week will promote approved Fringe Events through the official festival website and marketing channels where appropriate.
