Who can enter?
Your business must have a registered address within the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area.
Can previous winners enter again?
Yes, but not the same category within two years of winning. For example, 2023 winners can re-enter that category in 2026, while 2024 winners must wait until the following year.
How do I check if I'm eligible?
Read the category description carefully before entering, as some categories have specific eligibility criteria
Does my application need to be technology-focused?
Yes. Technology must be central to your business, product, service, or innovation for your application to be considered.
What makes a strong entry?
Focus on outcomes, include measurable results and supporting evidence, demonstrate your impact, and avoid unnecessary jargon.
Does it cost to enter?
No. Entry is completely free.
When are winners announced?
Winners will be announced at the Birmingham Tech Week Black Tie Dinner and Awards on 23 October 2026.
